Paul Donnelly Paul J. Donnelly

Senior Managing Director

Paul Donnelly founded Optivest IB after having spent 25 years as an investment banking professional and principal investor.

Paul Donnelly has a successful track record of working with emerging growth and middle-market companies to enhance shareholder value through various corporate finance initiatives, including M&A, recapitalizations, equity and debt financings and valuations/fairness opinions. Prior to founding Optivest IB, Paul was a Managing Director with the Los Angeles-based investment banking firm B. Riley & Co., which merged in 2003 with his previous firm, L.H. Friend, Weinress, Frankson & Presson. He has been involved in corporate finance since 1983, when he began his career with L.F. Rothschild, Unterberg, Towbin. From 1984 to 1986, he was with the venture capital firm Enterprise Management Company. From 1986 to 1992, Paul was a Vice President with Pacific Ventures Finance, a leading venture debt fund for institutionally backed emerging growth companies. From 1992 to 1995, he was a Senior Vice President with Ally Capital Corporation, a venture debt and corporate finance firm. From 1995 to 2003, Paul was a Managing Director of Corporate Finance with L.H. Friend, Weinress, Frankson & Presson.

Paul Donnelly received his B.S. in Finance and Business Administration from San Diego State University and holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.


Steven Gribic Stevan Grubic, ASA

principal

Stevan Grubic has over 15 years of middle-market investment banking experience providing financial and strategic analysis for a broad range of financial advisory mandates, including buy and sell side M&A, private placements, recapitalizations, distressed situations and business valuations/fairness opinions. He has participated in or directly managed over $400 million in transactional and sourced capital and completed over 100 business valuations and related strategic analyses representing well over $1.0 billion in asset values. Stevan’s most recent transactions include M&A, corporate finance and/or valuations for clients such as: Enerliance, Interush, FEX DMS, TS Restaurants, CVE Technology and Earthbar.

Additionally, as an accredited senior appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), Stevan is an expert in all aspects of business valuations, including fairness opinions, fair value accounting treatments, option and warrant pricing and intangible assets and other intellectual property.

Prior to joining Optivest IB, Steve was with the regional accounting firm of SingerLewak. Previously Stevan was a Senior Vice President with the Los Angeles-based investment banking firm of B. Riley & Co., a leading, full-service regional securities broker-dealer and investment bank. Stevan was also formerly with the investment banking firms of L.H. Friend Weinress, Frankson & Presson and North American Capital Partners.

Stevan Grubic received his B.S in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Southern California.


Mark Van Mourick Mark Van Mourick

Mark Van Mourick is the Chief Executive Officer of Optivest, Inc., and manages the investment portfolios of several of the nation’s wealthiest families. Mark established Optivest, Inc. 27 years ago and has grown the firm’s managed portfolios to about 50 wealthy families through building strategic, diversified portfolios for his clients targeting low volatility and consistent growth. Mark has 35 years of experience as a Money Manager and Registered Investment Advisor. Prior to opening his own firm, he was one of the leading retail brokers of Smith Barney/Orange County. Mark leads Optivest, Inc. by example, defining common corporate goals that build integrity, excellent customer satisfaction and an environment of high moral consciousness and generosity.

In addition to his expertise in stocks and finance, Mark has extensive experience in business and real estate. He is the author of “Cash Out, Cash In – The After Success Investment Guide”, and is also an experienced investor in a wide variety of investment vehicles including stocks, real estate and venture capital.

Mark holds various FINRA licenses including FINRA Series 7, Series 63 and Series 24, and is a graduate of the University of Southern California with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Finance and Business Management. He serves on the executive boards of numerous companies, is an active speaker and the founder of the Orange County Exit Planning Roundtable.

In addition to his business achievements, Mark is founder and President of The Optivest Foundation which donates hundreds of thousands of dollars every year to Christian Ministries. Optivest, Inc., Optivest Investment Banking, Optivest Properties and Optivest Retirement Strategies donate 10% of gross annual revenue to charities around the world. Employees and clients are encouraged to bring forward their ideas for charitable giving for consideration.


Leslie CalhounLeslie Calhoun

compliance advisor

Leslie Calhoun employs over 20 years of investment experience and financial operations. At Optivest IB, Leslie advises on all FINRA and regulatory matters pertaining to investment banking operations. Prior to joining Optivest, Leslie worked as an Institutional Sales Trader and Market Maker for several Broker/Dealers and has knowledge of insider and restricted shares, and IPOs. In recent years, she has worked with private and public companies seeking capital to arrange financing with Hedge Funds and Venture Capital Investors.

Leslie holds various FINRA licenses including FINRA Series 7, Series 24, Series 55, Series 63 and Series 65. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville and was recognized as a Wall Street Journal Woman of Note in 2015.


Dee Cinquegrani Dee Cinquegrani

Controller

Dee Cinquegrani is responsible for the daily accounting and finance operations for Optivest IB. She brings over 20 years of experience in accounting and business operations. Before joining Optivest, Dee held various accounting and management positions within the real estate, property management and construction/property development industries.

Dee is a member of the AICPA and CalCPA and is a graduate of Cal-State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree.


Lisa Rae Lisa Rae

Executive Assistant

Lisa Rae is the Executive Assistant for Optivest IB and oversees all administration functions within the firm. She brings over 15 years of administrative experience to the Optivest team. Prior to joining Optivest, Lisa most recently worked in the commercial real estate industry in leasing and property management.

Originally from Washington, Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Seattle Pacific University.


Ashlee Enzensperger Ashlee Enzensperger

Operations and IT Administrator

Ashlee provides Optivest IB with in-house IT and technical support. She brings over 10 years of experience to our team and is responsible for all aspects of technology integration and management. In addition, Ashlee provides client portfolio support and administration for Optivest’s wealth management operations.


Shannon Patton Shannon Kavlich

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

Shannon Kavlich oversees the marketing and client communications across all Optivest disciplines. Previously, Shannon spent three years marketing for the arts industry, after spending time in London at Sotheby’s Auction House for Art & Business.

Shannon has a Bachelor of Arts from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, with additional study in Florence, Italy.
